  7. Alan Bernard:

I am trying to select a site for my first hives. How far apart should the hives be? Is there a minimum distance?

    Thanks,
    Alan

  8. J. Hicks:

We’re new to beekeeping, but we were told by ?? (can’t recall ) that it would be nice if the hives were spaced 6′ apart. So, this is what we’ve done…
However, it’s apparently not necessary as I’ve seen hives one right next to the other on the same long bench stand, pallet or blocks….

  16. Raye Ann Simmons:

I have not received for the past two months email notices from Cookeville beekeepers. I am subscribed to receive emails. Is there anything I can do to correct this? I miss getting my emails, especially since I have not attended the last two meetings. I really need that reminder!
Also, I have given my bees today (2/16/2014) pro-patties. I have never fed my bees before, am I too early?
    Thank you!
